The Physician Knife is very rare single-layer 58mm model, not available directly from Victorinox, which means it was a custom ordered model. It is not known who originally ordered it.

It was most likely an advertising knife made for the medical community.

The Physician Knife comes with Cellidor scales only in red. In addition to the Victorinox shield, it has the words: Physician Knife printed on the front handle in silver screen print and usually a drug advertising name or logo on the back.

History

Little is known about the history of this knife. As indicated above, it may have been a custom order with a knife shop. Or, more likely, was sold through the premium sales channels to the medical industry.
