The world as we know it started in 1891 with the 100mm Victorinox Soldier’s Knife. The company got on firm ground in 1897 with the introduction of the 100mm “Officer’s Knife”, and its recognition as an international icon for quality firmly built over the next 50 years. In 2009 there was a beautiful replica of the original 1891 Soldier’s Knife to celebrate the company’s 125th Anniversary. There are several older vintage 100mm knives by Victorinox that are not listed below. Most of these knives did not have individual names, but were known by their model numbers, and sometimes a series name. The horticultural series of knives are the last remaining models using this frame size, but in the past this series was available in several sizes.
