The 2012 Damascus Limited Edition (0.8461.J12) is a 111mm One-Handed Trailmaster/Trekker* with a Damasteel stainless steel, deep etch, Damascus blade and Swiss Walnut handles. This special knife, aimed at collectors and the connoisseur, has a limited production of only 5000 pieces worldwide, with only 600 knives allocated to North America. Each knife has an individual serial number, and comes in a presentation case.
It was released October 2012.
It is the third model in the Damascus series, following the 2011 Climber and 2010 Pioneer. It is the first 111mm production model to feature the Damascus steel blade, and also the first to feature a locking blade. The blade has a hardness of 60HRC.
This model features the same tools as the One-Hand Trailmaster/Trekker and the 2008 Soldier Knife and is the first Victorinox model to feature Swiss Walnut wooden handles (scales).
